Travel is human.
Make room for it.

I’m Raphael Amzallag. A former tour guide, founder of Manage Your Trip, and a believer that better systems make space for better travel.

Behind every great journey,
someone makes it all work.

From the road
to the back office.

Tour guide. Technologist. Founder.

I’ve seen travel from both sides: the experience people remember, and the coordination that makes it possible.

My background combines guiding tours, computer science and an MBA. Since founding Manage Your Trip in 2012, I’ve focused on the daily work behind a trip: quoting, suppliers, participants, payments and the handoffs between them.

That’s the lens I bring to technology. Start with how people actually work. Understand where time gets lost. Build something that helps.

The hidden cost of copy and paste

Every time trip details move between an inbox, a spreadsheet and a proposal, the team spends time rebuilding information it already has.

A question for your team
Choose one recent trip. How many times did someone enter the same hotel name, rate or participant detail? Start improving the handoff that repeats most often.

Your past trips are an AI advantage

Your team’s knowledge is already there: programs, supplier choices and what worked before. Making it usable is where the opportunity begins.

A question for your team
Could a new planner find a proven itinerary, understand why it worked and adapt it? Organize that knowledge before expecting AI to retrieve it reliably.

Revenue tells only part of the story

A busy departure calendar can hide a demanding account. Look at the coordination it takes to deliver a trip alongside the revenue it brings.

A question for your team
Which accounts consume the most planner time? Compare their contribution with the hours spent on revisions, changes and coordination.

A first draft built on experience

An itinerary draft becomes more useful when it starts with your own programs, destinations and operating knowledge. Your expert team still shapes the journey.

A question for your team
What should a planner check before sharing an AI-assisted itinerary? Define the review of dates, travel times, availability and suitability as part of the workflow.

The trip ends. The learning shouldn’t.

Traveler feedback can improve the next departure, supplier choice or briefing. Give those lessons somewhere to live after the group returns.

A question for your team
Pick the last trip that returned. What did you learn, who owns the improvement, and will that lesson reach the planner preparing the next one?

Growth changes what your systems need to do

Processes that feel manageable with a handful of trips can become a bottleneck as departures multiply. The handoffs deserve attention early.

A question for your team
If next month brought twice as many trips, which task would break first? Use that answer to decide what to standardize, connect or automate.

What guides my work

Give the complexity a system.
Give the people room to think.

Good work starts
with a conversation.

Running a tour business, exploring a partnership, or thinking through where technology could help? I’d be happy to hear what you’re working on.
